Okay, I got the obligatory "this is a new blog blah blah" entry out of the way. That's easy. Now what?

Well I think I should write about my latest addiction. Is it my reacquainting with Luke and Noah? Actually should I say Luke and Reid? Reid Reid Reid Reid. AHHH the anti-Noah. Reid the lovable jackass. The guy that brought me back after the ridiculousness of Noah turning blind and getting adopted by Luke's parents.

Nah. I am certain I will write about my sad obsession with these soap guilty pleasures soon.

But no. It would have to be Netflix, the site where I spend hours and hours of my life. Has there been anything as amazing? With Netflix you can have movies sent to your house (and forget you have it, and put off returning it for three months... yeah i really ought to return Slumdog Millionaire), but even better you can instantly watch a wide collection of television shows and movies. Sure many sites make it legally and illegally possible to watch almost anything your little heart would desire. But Netflix is different. It KNOWS you. I mean, when it says at the top of my screen, "Here is a movie we think you would love," and it gives me Clueless... oh Netflix, you know how to pull my heart strings.

What you do is you rate movies or television shows you like. The more you rate the better chance it has of finding you your future obsessions, or old favorites. The fact that it has season after season of shows on it is very dangerous for a TV aficionado like me. I mean it has ALL SEVEN seasons of Buffy. Sure I have them all on DVD, but that's not the point.

If it wasn't for Netflix I wouldn't have so many things to blog about. I wouldn't have been able to talk about that horribly awful, yet amazing German gay movie i just watched, that was basically a long drawn out porno with a better storyline. Or I wouldn't have given Arrested Development another chance. Which resulted in my Portia love... and hours of me looking her up, reading old interviews, going awww at her declaring her love of Ellen, and just staring at her gorgeousness, thus prompting me to watch the fabulous show Better off Ted.

Basically Netflix is what keeps me up at night. Who needs sleep when you can watch the exciting adventures of Pingu for hours on end?

Can you honestly say you would not want to watch this little guy and his crazy misadventures? Well with Netflix you can.
